Each adventure below explores a distinct Algarvian landscape, carefully crafted to reveal a corner most travelers never see.

While the landscapes may differ, the experience remains the same: guided with depth, care, creativity, and local knowledge, in a way that is immersive and off the beaten path.

Each hike also has its own Adventure Style — a natural rhythm, level of effort, and way of moving that brings out the best of that place. From that starting point, we can adapt the experience to fit your group's interests, abilities, and energy levels.

With more time, we can access more remote areas, follow longer routes, and explore at a relaxed, unhurried pace.

Includes a simple, nourishing lunch on the trail.

HALF-DAY ADVENTURES
(~5 hrs)

A focused and active experience — perfect for discovering a new landscape without committing a full day.

Expect a mix of hiking, exploring, and scenic pauses, with plenty of time to connect with the surroundings.

Includes light trail snacks, with the option to add a full meal.

Up to 2 guests:

Nov-Apr: €380

May, June, Oct: €420

July-Sept: €460

Each additional guest: €40

FAMILY ADVENTURES
(~5 hrs)

A more flexible outdoor experience designed for families with kids under 16.

Typically, with kids, the experience is less about covering distance, and more about exploring. We can adapt any tour for kids by creating more space for curiosity, variety, discovery, and hands-on moments.

Includes light trail snacks, with the option to add a full meal.

Up to 4 guests:

Nov-Apr: €400

May, June, Oct: €440

July-Sept: €480

Each additional, under 16: €30

Each additional, adult: €40

Food is part of the experience — simple, nourishing, and designed to support the day.

Full-Day tours include a trail lunch.

Half-day tours include light trail snacks. Add a full meal for something extra special.

Trail lunch: €20 + €15 per person
- Simple, nourishing, and designed for the trail.
- Perfect on a beach or clifftop.
- Keeps us moving without getting hungry.

Picnic tapas dinner & wine: €30 + €25 per person
- A true highlight — homemade, local, delicious.
- Best enjoyed someplace beautiful at sunset.
- Adds 30-45 minutes to the tour.

Local Restaurant: €50 + pay your own
- A relaxed meal at one of my favorite local spots
- A great way to finish our day.
- Adds about 1 hour to the tour.

HOW THE DAY UNFOLDS

Every private adventure is different, but most follow a similar flow.

Pre-Trip

When you book, you’ll tell me a bit about your group — your interests, abilities, and preferences — and I’ll begin crafting a plan for the day.

Arrival, Orientation & Transportation

I'll set the stage with maps, stories, and a quick plan for the day. Then we'll drive to our hike.

Exploration

We head into the landscape — hiking, exploring, discovering hidden places, and adapting the rhythm to your group’s energy and curiosity, as well as the unique conditions of the day.

Pause, Enjoy & Eat

Depending on your choice (see Pricing & Food), we'll stop to enjoy snacks, a full trail lunch, or maybe a picnic dinner.

The Return

We finish our day relaxed, inspired, and full of stories.

HALF-DAY vs. FULL-DAY

Private adventures are offered in two formats:

Half-Day (5 hours)

A focused exploration with plenty of time to move, discover hidden places, and enjoy the landscape without committing a full day.

Full-Day (7 hours)

The deeper exploration with time to reach more remote areas, explore further, and include a trail lunch as part of the day.

ADVENTURE STYLES & ACTIVITY LEVEL

Each route has a natural Adventure Style based on the type of terrain, distance, and level of effort involved.

These styles give a clear starting point for what the experience will feel like. From there, we can adjust pacing, distance, and intensity to suit your group.

Adventure Styles:

Relaxed & Scenic

Gentle walking on defined trails with minimal elevation gain, focused on scenery, curiosity, and a steady, easy rhythm. For most all healthy travelers who want to move.

Nice & Active

Longer hikes with varied terrain, hills, and a more sustained pace — a satisfying balance of effort and reward. For active travelers who enjoy earning the views.

Big & Challenging

Rugged routes with sustained effort, remote landscapes, and occasional hands-on movement. For energetic travelers who want a deeper, more immersive experience.

KIDS, MIXED ABILITIES, & OLDER GUESTS

These tours work very well for groups of all kinds, including families and mixed-ability groups. Routes and pacing can be adapted for different ages, interests, abilities, and energy levels.

If you’re looking for something more flexible, less hike-focused, or highly adapted (for example with young children or wide differences in ability), the Classic West Coast Adventure or a Custom Private Experience are the most adaptable options.

TRANSPORTATION

Pick-up and drop-off from your accommodation in the Lagos area is always included.

If you’re staying outside Lagos, you can:

Meet me in Lagos
Arrange a meeting point along the way
Enquire about special pick-up arrangements

Final details are confirmed after booking.

WHAT TO BRING

Nothing fancy — just the basics.

✔ Comfortable shoes (trainers / sneakers are fine)

✔ Water bottle

✔ Sun protection

✔ Swimsuit & towel (if you'd like the chance to swim)

✔ Warm layer or Jacket: It gets surprisingly cold!

✔ Backpack: To put it all in!

I can provide backpacks, jackets, towels, water bottles, and other essentials, if needed.

GROUP SIZE

Usually 2-8 guests. Over 8 guests is possible with the addition of extra transportation. Please enquire.

TOUR TIMES

These adventures are typically experienced in the morning and afternoon.

As a general guide:

Half-Day (~5 hrs): 9:00am → 2:00pm

Full-Day (~7 hrs): 9:00am → 4:00pm

Earlier starts can be ideal for certain routes to avoid heat or crowds. Later starts can also work well.

Once we choose your adventure, we’ll find the timing that works best.

WEATHER

Weather is part of the adventure — and rarely a problem.

All of these adventures can be enjoyed year-round — we simply adjust timing and pacing to suit the season and conditions.

Unlike the Classic West Coast Adventure, however, these tours take place across a range of landscapes, so conditions can vary.

In general:

April – October

Mostly sunny and dry. Rain is rarely an issue.

Coastal routes

(Wild Beaches, Fisherman’s Trail, 7 Hanging Valleys)

Typically comfortable even in warmer months, with cool sea breezes and the option for a refreshing swim.

Mountain routes

Can be hot in summer. On warmer days, earlier start times are highly recommended.

If conditions are unsafe or genuinely unpleasant, we adjust or cancel fairly.
